About the asian fairy-bluebird

The Asian fairy-bluebird is a medium-sized, arboreal passerine of forests across tropical southern Asia, Indochina and the Greater Sundas, from Sri Lanka and western India to Sumatra, Borneo and Java. Adults measure 24 to 27 cm. The male has glossy, iridescent blue upperparts with black underparts and flight feathers, while the female and first-year male are entirely dull blue-green, with a crimson iris in both sexes. It usually travels in small parties or pairs, feeding mainly on fruit in larger forest trees, with nectar and some insects as well. The nest is a shallow cup of moss or twigs in a sapling or small tree, holding two eggs.
