One honest guide to every zoo in America
Feather & Fang is an independent guide to the zoos of the United States: where each one is, when it's open, what it costs to get in, and which animals it actually holds — with where every fact came from, and when it was last checked.

How it works
From each zoo's own list
Animal lists come from the zoo's published collection, and every listing records the page it was read on. Each page ends with its sources, so you can check anything yourself.
Dated, so you know what's current
Facts that change — admission prices and opening hours — carry the date they were last checked and a link to where they were read. Zoos change; confirm on their own site before you go.
Feathers and Fangs from visitors
A Feather is something a zoo does well; a Fang is something it doesn't. Visitors can leave either on any zoo page, and every one is read before it appears.
Who we are
Feather & Fang is run by Ben and Margot. The aim is simple: one place that says what a zoo has, where each fact came from, and when it was last checked.
Independent
No zoo pays to appear here or to change what its page says. We don't sell placement, and if advertising ever runs on the site it will have no bearing on any page's content.
Photographs
Photos come from Wikimedia Commons under licences that allow reuse, and each one is credited to its photographer with its licence.
