About Concord Zoo

The Concord Zoo is a free zoo on the grounds of the Concord General Store at N6485 County Rd F, with an Oconomowoc, Wisconsin mailing address. The store describes itself as a haven off the highway that is not a typical gas station or convenience store, and it presents the free zoo as part of that experience. The zoo is not accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.

History

The zoo's page states that the Concord Zoo was established in 2005 and has provided a sanctuary for animals from all different walks of life.

Exhibits and habitats

The zoo's website lists goats, sheep, miniature horses, donkeys, cows, pigs, poultry, and alpacas. The page says the zoo has a visitor capacity of 20 people.

According to the website, the grain dispensers are not operating, and carrots and cones for feeding are sold at the store. Visitors are asked not to bring outside food for the animals.

Conservation and programs

The zoo operates through visitor donations, and the website encourages donations during visits.

Planning your visit

As listed on the zoo's website, the zoo is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and admission is free. The site's posted rules ask visitors not to litter and not to bring outside food for the animals. The store's phone number is listed as (262) 593-5400.

Distances are straight-line. A dash means we haven't confirmed that detail yet, not that the zoo lacks it.

AZAThe Association of Zoos and Aquariums. Accredited members have passed an independent inspection of animal care and welfare, safety, conservation and education, repeated every five years. Many smaller facilities never apply, so “not accredited” isn't a verdict on its own. What accreditation means · How we check this
