About Adirondack Animal Land
Adirondack Animal Land is a family-owned and operated wildlife park at 3554 State Highway 30, Gloversville, New York 12078, in the Great Sacandaga Lake region of Fulton County. The park's website describes the property as 80 acres of farm land in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains.
The park says it provides a home in an all natural setting for over 500 animals and is dedicated to educating visitors as well as providing an exciting family activity. The park lists a phone number of 518-883-5748.
Exhibits and habitats
Admission includes two distinct experiences, according to the visit page: a walk-through section and a drive-through section. The African Safari page says visitors drive through the safari section in their own vehicles, where camels, ostrich, buffalo, deer and other animals approach cars, and it encourages visitors to watch for newborn animals.
The visit page says that animals returning for the 2026 season include the monkeys, alligators and aoudads, and the animals page lists a dromedary camel. The animals page notes that exhibits are subject to change without notice.
Planning your visit
The park is open seasonally in summer. As listed on the park's website, the 2026 season ran from July 1 to August 30, 2026, with hours of 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the last admission ticket sold at 3 p.m. One admission covers both the walk-through and the drive-through sections, and children under 24 months are admitted free. Directions on the site list estimated drive times of 15 minutes from Johnstown, 30 minutes from Saratoga, 50 minutes from Utica, and 60 minutes from Albany and from Lake George. From Johnstown the route is Route 29 east to Route 30 north; from Albany and Utica it is Interstate 90 to Exit 27 at Amsterdam, then Route 30 north.
The park states that payment is cash only, with an ATM on site. Pets are not allowed in the drive-through or walk-through sections; the park says many of its animals see dogs and other pets as a threat. Visitors enter the drive-through at their own risk, and the park says it is not liable for vehicle damage. The park also states that no weather-related passes are issued. Admission fees are listed on the park's website.

AZAThe Association of Zoos and Aquariums. Accredited members have passed an independent inspection of animal care and welfare, safety, conservation and education, repeated every five years. Many smaller facilities never apply, so “not accredited” isn't a verdict on its own. What accreditation means · How we check this
